Bloody hell Em, I'll have a bash at this but if it's too rubbish I ain't postin' it...:-)

"To Zion" by Lauryn Hill - Lauryn is "now playing" in my kitchen. That's a great track...

I get a bit annoyed by the inter-track gibbering on that album though...

yeah, me too Witho. It's unnecessary. But the intertrack "Babelogue" on the Patti Smith album is awesome poeticizing.

Yes you will post it! no cheating either!

'the intertrack "Babelogue" on the Patti Smith album is awesome poeticizing.'

lovin' that setence Em ...:-)

I'm glad you cheated. "4th of July" almost made my list too, but I couldn't decide between the X and Dave Alvin versions. They are so different and both so stunning.

My other "almost" was R.E.M.'s "So. Central Rain." Depending on what day you asked me, that one could have been first.

i love 4th of July; it's made even more poignant by the fact that I think Exene and John Doe might have been ending their relationship at the time. sadder than sad.

oh what the hell...!?!??!!! I never signed up for this.

ok... fine... I'll make some kind of entry like this when i am actually listening to something to report about(meaning: when i'm not at work)

Johnny the Horse

Hey there, Good timing! I'm back in the blogging world again. I have actually done a version of this meme here http://thebedandbreakfastman.blogs.com/the_bed_and_breakfast_man/2005/02/the_month_of_th.html and I think the answers are still pretty much the same. Thanks for the tag.
